Jani Allan Kristian Liimatainen is a Finnish guitarist. He came to prominence as the guitarist for the power metal band Sonata Arctica between 1996 and 2007, and has since played in and founded bands such as Altaria, Cain's Offering, The Dark Element and Insomnium. Liimatainen's playing style is well known for his meticulous and fast soloing and riffs.
