Heart
An American-Canadian rock band formed in 1974 in Seattle (but moved to Vancouver a year later, where they recorded their first album) and is still active today. The band's lineup has undergone many changes during its existence, but sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson remain permanent members of the collective. The band gained wide popularity in the 1970s, playing music formed by a mix of hard rock in the style of bands like Led Zeppelin and American folk. In the mid-1980s, the band changed its musical style. The bet was placed on power ballads, where the guitar sound was minimal or absent altogether. The most well-known hits of the mid-1980s are "These Dreams," "Alone," "What about Love," etc. In the 1990s, Heart began to lose popularity, and albums were recorded less and less frequently. However, the band's live performances with a repertoire of songs from the 1970s–80s are still in demand. In total, over 30 million of the collective's albums have been sold worldwide.
